Overview

Every kit in our metal robot arm catalog uses CNC-machined aluminum alloy as the primary structural material — no plastic frames, no acrylic sheets (except one acrylic-option variant of the STEM kit). Aluminum alloy provides the stiffness-to-weight ratio needed for accurate end-effector positioning, tolerates repetitive loading without fatigue cracking, and gives each kit a professional appearance that matches the engineering intent.

Why Metal Construction Matters for Robot Arm Kits

Plastic robot arm frames flex under load, which introduces positioning errors that accumulate from joint to joint. A 6-DOF plastic arm may have 5–10mm of end-effector error from frame flex alone. CNC-machined aluminum alloy brackets have tight dimensional tolerances and negligible flex at robot arm scale loads. The result is a kit that performs like the photos show — straight segments, tight joints, repeatable motion. Metal frames also survive the inevitable crashes and over-rotations of the learning process.

  • Primary material: Aluminum alloy on all arms, robot hands, gripper kits, and gimbal kit
  • Industrial kits: 4-Axis Stepper and Multi-Axis Industrial use aluminum + steel hybrid frames
  • Fasteners: Stainless M3 bolts throughout — no soft plastic threads that strip on re-assembly
  • Durability: Kits can be disassembled and reassembled repeatedly without degrading structural integrity
Assembly Note

Do not overtighten M3 bolts into aluminum standoffs. Finger-tight plus a quarter turn is correct. Overtightening strips threads in the standoff — use thread-lock on joints that experience vibration.
