Why we recommend it

The LeArm is the kit most people graduate to after a cardboard or 4-DOF starter. Six metal-gear servos give you a genuine 6 degrees of freedom plus a mechanical claw, so you can reach, rotate the wrist and grip — the full pick-and-place motion. Because it is open source, you are not locked into the bundled software: drive it from the included PC app and phone app to learn, then switch to Arduino or Raspberry Pi and write your own inverse-kinematics code. The aluminium brackets are rigid enough to stay repeatable, which is exactly what trips up cheaper arms. A strong pick if you want one kit that takes you from "follow the tutorial" to "program it yourself".
