Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: September 2026.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

DIY Robotic Arm is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

What an affiliate link is

Links to parts, kits and tools in our guides and in the Parts & Kits section go to Amazon and carry our Associates tag. If you buy something after clicking one, Amazon may pay us a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or not.

Every affiliate link on the site opens Amazon in a new tab and is marked as a sponsored link for search engines. Buttons read Check Price because that is what happens: you leave this site and see the product on Amazon. Nothing is sold or shipped by us.

Why we don't show prices

Amazon prices, stock and review counts change constantly, and a number copied onto this page would soon be wrong. So we don't print them. Current price, availability and reviews are always shown on Amazon when you click through.

How we choose what to recommend

Commissions don't decide what we feature. Parts are picked because they fit the builds described in our guides, using criteria we apply consistently:

  • Compatibility — it works with the controllers, drivers and wiring our guides use.
  • Specification — enough torque, current or precision for the job, with headroom.
  • Build quality signals — for example metal gears over plastic in load-bearing servos.
  • Openness — programmable, documented hardware you won't outgrow over a proprietary app.

We haven't hands-on tested every listing, and we'd rather say so than imply otherwise. Our recommendations describe why a part suits a build; always check the listing's own specifications before buying.

Advertising

Some pages also show display ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are separate from our affiliate recommendations, and advertisers have no say in what we write. See our privacy policy for how ad cookies work and how to opt out of personalised ads.
